This course is characterized by an international and multidisciplinary perspective on the arts.
Its field of study covers all forms of cultural interaction and transfer, including multicultural and multidisciplinary influences and exchanges; parallels between literature and the arts, literature and knowledge; transitions between knowledge and the imaginary; the circulation of works (translation, reception, etc.); modes of production and mediation of works and other cultural forms; and their place in the creative process.
It offers students the chance to combine comparative and imaginarist approaches with in-depth study of two modern languages, a specialization in the socio-anthropology of art and culture or another discipline.
Meeting of M1, M2 and doctoral students in the Comparatism, Imaginary, Socio-Anthropology course
The CISAstériales were born out of a desire among the 2021–2022 master’s students to build connections with first-year master’s students and doctoral candidates, whom they rarely had the chance to meet.
