Submission: The LLASIC department keeps master's students' theses. You must submit your thesis before your defense.
Distribution: Distribution is optional and requires your consent and that of your thesis supervisor. Distribution can be done on the national DUMAS platform or on the local GED platform.
DUMAS or GED?
Both platforms are a way to showcase your work and share your research findings.
DUMAS is an online platform that is freely accessible. Theses are deposited in DUMAS on an institutional basis: this is done after the thesis has been defended, with the student's consent and with the approval of a jury that is in favor of its dissemination. At the LLASIC faculty, only theses that have obtained a grade of 14/20 or higher may be disseminated on DUMAS.
EDM ( Electronic Document Management) is a platform specific to UGA. It is only accessible to the UGA university community.
Before the defense: students must submit their thesis in PDF format via the Moodle application.
At the time of the defense: the authorization for dissemination is completed by the student and the jury; the minutes of the defense are completed by the jury. Both documents will be sent to the registrar's office.
After the defense: library staff archive the thesis or publish it on DUMAS/GED in accordance with the publication authorization.
To easily find all our briefs, you can search on the Beluga catalog by typing "LLASIC" in the search bar and filtering results by resource type "theses/dissertations".
