Mobility schedule

Calendar

September - October: Information

Information meetings are held. First run by the central mobility team, then in each component, for each course of study.
You can also make individual appointments with the International Relations Office or your coordinator to find out more about your LEO profile.

Dates and information about the various activities and the campaign are sent by e-mail (via the institutional address) to students in the courses concerned by mobility.

October - November: The application

During the application period, workshops are offered by the component to help you draw up the various elements of your application: CV, covering letter and projected budget. You must attend at least one of these workshops for your application to be eligible.
An individual meeting with the coordinator must also be scheduled to validate provisional course choices and the project as a whole.

Year 25/26: application form open from October 15 to November 17, 12:00 p.m.

October - November/January: Language tests

Some destinations require language certification (TOEFL, IELTS, CLES...). It is imperative to take the tests early enough to obtain the results when the selection committees meet.

UGA destinations: results sent by November 28 at the latest.
UFR LLASIC destinations: results sent by February 10 at the latest.

December - January: Central selection

Applications for destinations common to the UGA are pre-selected by the component and then submitted to the central commission in early January.
Students have the right to make up to 3 requests for these destinations. If none of these are accepted, the component destinations will be studied in February.

Central Commission (UGA destinations): January 13, 2026

February: Component selection

This commission mainly concerns Erasmus network destinations, but also certain non-EU agreements specific to each component/department (notably destinations in the UK).

UFR LLASIC Commission (component destinations): end of February 2026

January - June: Partner application

Once the selection process is complete, the university nominates the students to its partners, and a second application must be made to the host university. Depending on the destination, the application timetable can vary enormously, from January to June... So there's no need to compare with your colleagues: each university, or even course of study, has its own timetable!

April: Scholarship applications

Information meetings are held in March/April on the various funding possibilities, followed by a form to fill in, depending on the scholarships available for each destination.

April - June: Visa application

If your destination requires a visa, it's advisable to apply as early as possible, as embassies can sometimes take a long time to process.

April - July: logistics

Book your plane ticket, find accommodation, take out insurance... It's important to anticipate your departure so that you can leave with peace of mind in the autumn!
Some cities are experiencing housing crises of varying severity, so find out as soon as possible about the situation and prices in your host city, so you don't find yourself stuck at the end of the summer! Most universities offer a housing assistance service for exchange students.

Pay close attention to the information and deadlines provided by your host university!

July: re-registration at UGA

Not only do you need to validate your year to be able to go on mobility the following year, but you also need to remember to re-register! It's best to do this during the early registration period in July, especially if your host university's calendar is more advanced than that of UGA.
If you don't re-register at UGA, you won't be able to study abroad!
