CAPES and agrégation competitions

The LLASIC UFR prepares students for the competitive examination for nursery, primary, secondary and higher education teachers, and for the agrégation competitive examination for higher education and research.

Preparing for the CAPES exam

Kindergarten, primary, secondary and higher education teachers are trained in Master's programs dedicated to teaching, education and training (MEEF), which include competitive examinations.
The MEEF master's degree is a national diploma awarded by universities that combines the requirements of the competitive examination, the master's degree and tenure.

Preparing for the agrégation

The agrégation competitive examination recruitsfuture secondary school teachers , but in literary subjects, it's almost a prerequisite for higher education and research. It is also a popular qualification for careers outside the Education Nationale.

It is a high-level competitive examination. The number of posts is much smaller than for the Capes. Rigorous, sustained preparation is required, starting as soon as the competition syllabus is officially known: in May-June for the following year. This program changes every year.
