The laboratory responds to various calls for projects: doctoral contract, young arrivals research, research. It also responds to projects called "societal challenges", including the one entitled "digital technology at the service of human beings and society".

Students in the Master's program in information and communication are encouraged to participate in research contracts, in the development of web sites and social networks, and in research internships.

Gresec's main focus is to monitor theemergence of modern communication tools (whether or not they take the form of techniques embedded in material supports), in their developments and their social registrations complex, random and even contradictory.

This orientation takes into account both the changes taking place in the social mediations or cultural that the form they take (increasingly commercial and even industrial) or the way they interactive componentA multi-modal, "meaningful" approach to the devices offered to consumer users.
