Bénédicte Shawky-Milcent is an Agrégée de lettres modernes and has taught in secondary schools for 25 years. In 2014, she defended a thesis in Grenoble under the supervision of Jean-François Massol entitled "L'appropriation des œuvres littéraires en classe de seconde" (Le Monde de la recherche universitaire prize in 2015).
She has been a teacher-researcher at UGA since 2017.
Head of the MEEF SD Lettres program.
Member of the editorial board of Pratiques magazine and Poédiles magazine.
