LLSH Doctoral School

Doctoral School no. 50 Languages, Literatures and Humanities (LLSH), created in 1993, is one of the fourteen doctoral schools within the Doctoral College of the COMUE Université Grenoble Alpes. It awards the Doctorat de l'Université Grenoble Alpes. 

Domain

It represents research in the fields of literature (French, Francophone and foreign literature, comparative literature, ancient studies, rhetoric), languages (foreign languages, literatures and civilizations, French language, FLE), language (linguistics, phonetics, spoken communication, dialectology), didactics (French, languages, literature) and communication.

It brings together 6 research units belonging to theUniversité Grenoble Alpes : 2 UMRs (Litt&Arts, Gipsa Lab - Speech and Cognition department) and 4 host teams (ILCEA4, Gerci, Lidilem, Gresec), as well as the LLSETI of the Université de Savoie (in letters, languages, information and communication sciences). The LLSH doctoral school has a staff of around 100 professors and lecturers authorized to supervise research, and nearly 300 doctoral students.

For the quality of its scientific supervision, its international attractiveness, with nearly 45% of doctoral students coming from abroad, and the successful integration of its doctoral students, the LLSH doctoral school was well evaluated by the HCERES in 2015.
