Activities

Set up in January 2023, this department will deal closely with the specific problems associated with teaching ancient languages.
The 3LG department is keen to develop partnerships with other components, such as ARSH, to create new double bachelor's degrees, for example.

Training

The Bachelor's degree in Classics provides a solid grounding in Greek, Latin and French language and literature. It is aimed at students wishing to acquire and pass on a literary culture, from Antiquity to the present day, as well as methods of analysis and expression. It opens the door to teaching at all levels, and to other professional fields such as digital humanities.

The Master's degree in Arts, Literature and Civilization offers a Science of Antiquity course for students wishing to study Antiquity in its entirety, with interdisciplinary training in philology, literature, ancient philosophy, Greek and Roman history, ancient art history and archaeology.
