France Culture/Télérama Student Novel Prize Meeting
Corporate life, Publishing and distribution
On Monday November 21, 2022, the Bulles library welcomed author Lucie Rico for her novel "GPS" as part of the Prix du roman des étudiants France culture/Télérama. The meeting, hosted by Catherine Mariette and Laurent Demanze and their students, proved rich and stimulating.
The many interested parties, gathered in a packed auditorium, enjoyed fruitful exchanges between students, author and teachers. The students were particularly intrigued by the novel's creative process, and the author gladly revealed some of her secrets. Many questions also focused on the author's point of view on the various possible interpretations of her book! Lucie Rico explained that the driving force behind the creation of her novel is to "make ordinary acts strange". Inspired by A. Hitchcock's Fenêtre sur cour, GPS is a blend of thriller and mystery genres.
The meeting continued over a gourmet coffee in a more relaxed setting.
